Combination ovens combine the benefits of both convection and
infrared heating into one heating chamber. Infrared/Convection
ovens offer a variety of benefits which include faster cure times,
increased production, decreased floor space, utility savings, and
often times, a higher quality cure.
Most commonly, infrared heaters are added to standard convection
ovens as a means to provide a preheat or a “booster” affect
to the heating process.
The combination of convection and IR can be used in any oven configuration,
such as flat line conveyors, overhead trolley conveyors, spindle
(chain-on-edge) conveyors and any type of batch or walk-in type
oven.
IR heaters of all types, styles, and sizes can be used with these
various oven configurations, based on the products being processed.
The IR heaters can be arranged to heat from the top, the bottom,
sides, or any combination thereof, depending on your part configuration.
